Covington, LA Home Builder and Developer
HFB Development is a newly formed real estate development company with a goal of setting a standard for home building in South Louisiana that emphasizes four driving principles:
quality construction, universal design, hurricane fortification and energy efficiency/ conservation. All of these principles featured in exquisite residences offered at a remarkable value. HFB Development is a collaboration between builder James L. Fields, “Smart Growth” proponent and real estate development activist, Colleen Hawley and civic leader and real estate attorney, James L. Bradford.
James L. Fields, one of the premier craftsman and General Contractors of the Gulf South was hand- picked to bring the vision of HFB to tangible reality. Mr. Fields has a well deserved reputation as a builder of high-end custom homes and historic landmark restorations. He first cultivated his craft in the Vicksburg and Jackson, MS markets and went on to work closely with such prominent southern architects as A. Hays Town and Skippy Tuminello. In addition to having both a commercial and residential contractor’s license, Fields is a certified “Green Builder” and has a
NAHB “CAPS” (Certified Aging in Place) designation.
James Fields is a soft spoken Southern gentleman, who pays meticulous attention to architectural detail, demands the highest levels of quality and possesses a passion for building.
“It is because of these qualities he was sought out by HFB Development. I can’t imagine a better individual to run the construction division and play a hands-on role in delivering the end product to home owners.” States James L. Bradford founding partner.
“I am honored to be affiliated with this company and the integrity of their vision. We have assembled a high energy, dynamic team of individuals committed to creating a unique and first class development standard in South Louisiana” states Fields.
“We are very excited about showcasing our assorted projects and homes to the residents of the area. Although our homes have universal appeal, our initial projects target the Baby Boom Generation. This demographic is exceedingly discriminating. They place a premium on security and high tech features, social activities and fitness. They are empty nesters looking to downsize in square footage, but want their purchase to provide an easy and comfortable lifestyle.”
